​First Experience - this is my 5th year of FTC, I was on FLL for 4 years and was a part of a Jr. FLL team for three years

In my free time, I enjoy things such as playing soccer, messing around in Solidworks, hanging out with friends, and video games. This is my 11th year in FIRST programs, and have enjoyed the experiences so far. I have 3 older siblings who have all been part of FIRST. I plan to go to college for a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and pursue a career in that field., and of course, volunteer for FIRST.

Joshua

Team Roles: Builder, Multi-Media Master, Notebook Chief

Grade: 11th (Junior)

​Years with FIRST: 2 years FTC

I am Joshua Combs. I hope to use engineering in my future job and life!  FTC has helped me and been an awesome opportunity to learn what it means to problem solve and engineer in real life -- as well as work on a team!  I have one younger brother on our sister team, two great parents, and three sweet cats.

Team Roles: Builder, Learning CAD, Website designer, Programmer, and moral support

Hello! my name is Daniel and have been on the team for two years. In my free time I like to play video games, swim, and talking with friends. I've done professional swimming for 7 years in a row and have loved every day of it. Video Games is one of my biggest stress relievers, I love it because I used to play LEGO Star Wars with my family, and as far as I know talking with friends is a pretty enjoyable thing for anyone.

Team Roles: Punctuation Perfectionist, Grammar Guru, and Spelling Superstar

Grade: 10th (Sophomore)

I am the oldest of four siblings. I love reading, hiking, reading, piano, reading, backpacking, writing, reading, poetry, and reading. I also enjoy reading. C.S. Lewis is my favorite author, along with five thousand others. Some of my favorite books are The Lord of the Rings (which is a lot better than Harry Potter), Till We Have Faces, and Around the World in Eighty Days. As for future careers, I am considering everything from computer programmer to concert pianist. I really enjoy being in FIRST, and hope to continue through graduation.

​I enjoy playing ultimate, playing guitar, making music, learning languages, coding, making board games, hanging out with friends, and, of course, working on robots. After high school, I currently plan on getting a major in computer science, but I am also interested in mechanical engineering.

Hi, I'm Andrew and in my free time I play Ultimate Frisbee, take care of my family’s 4 horses, 6 cats, 4 dogs, and many chickens. I am a part of a family of 9, one older brother who is an alumni of our FTC team, a younger brother who is on our sister team, as well as 3 younger sisters on a Jr. FLL team, and a baby. I plan on going into college for a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and after college go into a robotics field of work.
